Basically canyoning is the combination of hikes through the rainforest with rappelling down the waterfalls.  This adventure sport is very safe and is lead by professionals.  You should be in good physical condition with a great adventurous spirit.  This is a unique adventure.  If you feel ready to go down waterfalls and explore the cayon, consider doing canyoning and of course do it in the shadow of Arenal Volcano.
